Hi there,

I’m Meghan

Photographer, people person, and sentimental soul with a love for documenting people exactly as they are and the seasons they never want to forget.

At the heart of it, I’m someone who really loves people. I love meaningful conversations, hearing someone’s story, learning what matters to them, and getting to know all the little things that make someone who they are. That part of me existed long before photography did, but somewhere along the way, the two became pretty inseparable.

I’m also sentimental to my core and have always loved holding onto the little things - photographs, memories, ticket stubs, cards, and all the pieces of life that might not seem important until years later. I think that’s a big part of why photography means so much to me. I get to give people something they can come back to long after a season has changed.

Outside of PBM, I’m a homebody at heart and happiest spending time with the people I love. Give me a slower night at home with something cooking, music playing, my Kindle nearby, or a scrapbook spread across the table and I’m pretty content. But I’m equally happy packing a bag for a trip, going to a concert, or sitting in a theatre waiting for the lights to go down.

I started Photos by Meghan in 2020 when I was just 15 years old, and what began as something I loved quickly grew into so much more. A few years later, I took PBM full-time, and I’ve been incredibly lucky to spend my days documenting people and the seasons that matter most to them ever since.
My photography is warm, natural, and people-focused. I love beautiful portraits, but I’m equally drawn to the laughter, movement, emotion, and little in-between moments that make a gallery feel like you. My editing reflects that too - I want your photos to feel timeless and true to how the day or season actually looked.
Yes! When you inquire, plan your session, show up in front of the camera, and receive your gallery, you’re working with me throughout the entire process. For weddings, you also have the option to add a second photographer to your collection to help document even more of your day.
Brockville, Ontario is home! Most of my work takes place throughout Eastern Ontario, but my camera has taken me much farther than that. I’m available to travel throughout Ontario, across Canada, and abroad.
It will always be the people for me. I love that this job lets me meet people during so many different seasons of their lives and, oftentimes, continue documenting them for years to come. There’s nothing better than seeing familiar names pop back into my inbox and getting to photograph whatever chapter comes next.
That the best photos don’t come from knowing exactly what to do in front of the camera. They come from feeling comfortable enough to laugh, move, interact, and be yourselves. I’ll take care of the direction so you never have to wonder what you’re supposed to be doing.
